The practice of off-piste requires deep knowledge of the territory, assessment skills and experience in the use of self-rescue materials. In the event of an avalanche accident, it is necessary to know how to act in a timely and effective way to rescue any victims. This requires constant training in the use of rescue materials such as the ARVA, the shovel and the probe so as to be able to cope with an avalanche event.
